Since its inception in 1990 during the cocaine epidemic, Options for Recovery has been instrumental in helping women recover from substance use disorders and reunite with their children and families. Options for Recovery is a part of The Lundquist Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Options for Recovery's mission is to provide comprehensive resources, education, support, and recovery services to individuals with substance use disorders. We specialize in working with pregnant and parenting women and other individuals by assisting them with their sobriety and process to reunite with their children through D.C.F.S. (Department of Children and Family Services). Women and Men, 18 years old and older and with or without children are welcome to seek enrollment in our program.

Options for Recovery's goals are to empower its clients to implement the change necessary to achieve and maintain a substance-free, responsible lifestyle based on self-respect and respect. The program recognizes the importance of coordination of services and values itself as a member of the greater community-helping network.
The program explicitly intends to provide a responsible and respectful work environment supportive of their employees' personal and professional growth.
Options for Recovery staff are nurturing and supportive interdisciplinary advocates for recovering women and men and their families.
